CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- An investigation is underway into what sparked a garage fire at a Chesterfield County home. A neighbor who drove by the house, along the 8800 block of Rocksdale Road, saw flames and called 911. That was at about 10 a.m. No injuries were reported in the fire, Chesterfield Fire and EMS spokesman Lt. Jason Elmore said. Three dogs in the home when the fire started are accounted for, he said.

Elmore said it appeared the fire was contained to the garage, which had been converted into living space. Smoke, but no flames, entered the main living areas of the home, Elmore said.
