The Inaugural “Shiver in the River” through Keep Virginia Beautiful is Saturday, January 31, from 11 am – 3:30 pm at Historic Tredegar on the James. It’s a community clean up, James River Jump and Winter Festival.
Help clean up around the James River, get your feet wet or jump all in the James and enjoy a winter festival.
Organizers are asking that you give 60 minutes to help clean up the James River, then take a plunge if you want in the James. You can also fund-raise by getting friends to pledge to make a difference and earn cool incentives. Registration on Saturday begins at 11am, the Community Cleanup begins at 12pm, the James River Jump is at 1:30pm and the Winter Festival ends around 3:30pm. Participants are encouraged to register in advance now at http://www.shiverintheriver.com. Incentive pick up is Friday, January 30th from 4pm -7pm at Capital Ale House Downtown.
