RICHMOND, Va. — Longtime CBS 6 anchor Cheryl Miller is one of seven people who will be inducted into the 2015 Virginia Communications Hall of Fame this spring.

The 28th Hall of Fame Ceremony on April 9 will honor those with significant achievements in the fields of Virginia media.

Miller has anchored CBS 6 News at Noon since she arrived in 1984 and hosted Virginia This Morning since it began in 2006.

Additionally, she has hosted “Battle of the Brains,” Central Virginia’s longest running high school academic quiz show, since 2003.

Miller celebrated 30 ears at the South’s First Television Station in September.

Viewers congratulated Miller on the CBS 6 Facebook page.

“One of the nicest and most genuine ladies I have had the pleasure to meet, Congratulations Cheryl!” Scott Rogers wrote.

“I’m 30 and she has been on the news since I knew what TV was,” wrote Nikia Kay Fitzgerald. “Congrats to her and 6 news should feel lucky to have had her for so long. Job well done.”
