For the second straight year, the Big River Rivalry came down to a goal-line stand and for the second straight year, the North made the play to win 28-27 over the South.

The only Central Region All-Star High School Football game pitting the best area players from North of the James and South of the River was played before a sold-out crowd at Day Field at Randolph-Macon College.

Manchester quarterback Daniel Rose was named MVP of the South's team while Armstrong quarterback Dashaun Waller was the North's team MVP.
