A video posted on Dec. 9 captures the heartwarming surprise that a military dad was able to pull off with the help of his wife.
The video starts off with the mother Miranda Nicole talking to her son Aiden. It turns out that Aiden’s elf told him “he had something here that he’s been missing.”
Aiden obviously thinks he is going to get a bike, and his mother has him turn around while the garage door opens. His bike had been stolen, and he thinks “Santa got him a new one” or found the old one.
The garage door opens; Aiden turns around and sees “Daddy!”
Officer Rusty Luchsinger is there, in uniform, and the family runs in for a teary hug.
