MANATEE COUNTY, Fl. -- Police in Florida are searching for a man accused of murdering three people. The Manatee County Sheriff's office say they want to question 33-year-old Andres "Andy" Avalos.
Police responded to a call about a shooting on a church property Thursday afternoon. There they found the body of a 31-year-old pastor. He was later identified as James "Tripp" Battle.
Deputies then learned of a second shooting at a house. The investigation took deputies to the Avalos home, where they found the bodies of Amber Avalos, 32, and Denise Potter, 46.
Officials said Potter was an acquaintance of the Avalos.
Deputies believe Andres Avalos first shot the two women, then went to the church and killed Battle, investigators said.
Amber Avalos, who was the mother of six children, worked at the church as its nursery and children's director, according the church's website. The children are in protective custody.
Andres Avalos was last seen driving a 2003 Chevy Surburban with license plate 484-VTZ.
Anyone with information about Avalos' whereabouts can contact the Manatee Sheriff’s Office at (941) 747-3011.
