NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Two Virginia State Troopers are recovering after a crash on I-64 eastbound near Jefferson Avenue in Newport News Wednesday morning.
The troopers were pulled over on the side of the road with their lights on when a pickup truck slammed into the back of the cruiser, pushing it into a wall and another car.
Both troopers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There has been no word yet if charges will be filed.
State police are reminding drivers about Virginia’s Move Over law, which requires drivers to do just that, move over or slow down for emergency vehicles.
