CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. - Police are investigating a hit and run crash that killed a bicyclist, Saturday morning.
The crash occurred on the 10800 block of Midlothian Turnpike around 6:05a.m.
The victim Kevin S. Merryman, 28, of the 3200 block of Buckingham Rd., Powhatan, was transported to the hospital where he died.
Merryman was riding a bicycle in the westbound lanes of Midlothian Turnpike when he was struck by a red Ford SUV, according to Chesterfield Police
Police were quickly able to locate the red Ford SUV.
Carlos R. Perez-Reyes, 34, of North Chesterfield, was arrested and charged with felony Hit and Run and Driving with no Operator's License.
The investigation is on-going.
