HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Dozens of people in the West End of Henrico woke up Tuesday to find someone had broken into their cars overnight.  Thieves targeted a number of cars at the Quarter Mill Apartments near Parham Road and Mayland Drive.

Henrico Police detectives were called to Quarter Creek Lane at about midnight after neighbors found several cars ransacked.

Police searched the woods around the apartment complex and found one person believed to be part of a small group of people responsible for the break-ins. Police arrested the person after a brief foot chase.

The search for the other suspect is on-going.

Detectives said it was too early to determine how many larcenies were committed. Once that investigation is complete, police will determine how many charges the suspect(s) could face.

Police asked break-in victims to call the non-emergency line at 804-501-5000.
