RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have released surveillance photos of a man they are calling a “person of interest” in Monday's double murder and another double shooting Wednesday morning.
Investigators said the man has been tied to the fatal shootings of a man and woman Monday night in the 5300 hundred block of Hull Street.
“Detectives believe the same person committed both crimes,” Richmond police wrote in a news release.
The man is also wanted in connection with a double shooting early Wednesday morning in the 600 block of Warwick Village Drive. That shooting left two men with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion around 32 years old and about 5 feet 6 inches tall. The man is reported to have a New York accent as well as a stained or discolored tooth with a black line across it.
He was last spotted Monday night wearing a black doo rag, all black clothing and a shirt with a white diamond on the front. On Wednesday morning, victims described him as having a goatee and wearing white shoes and gray sweatpants.
Police are also looking for a tan-colored, 2004 Nissan Sentra with the Virginia license plate “VAK 2807” in connection with these crimes.
Anyone with information that could help police should call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
