HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Dozens of neighbors in a West End apartment complex had a rude awakening Monday when they found someone slashed their car tires overnight. Henrico Police said at least 45 cars had their tires slashed at the Abbington West End Apartments off Sprenkle Lane, between West Broad Street and Staples Mill Road.
The tire slashing likely took place between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., police said. A neighbor reported hearing the hissing sound of air leaving a tire when she went outside to take out the trash at about 4:15 a.m.
Police have not yet released information about a suspect in this case.
This is a developing story.
