RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond Fire Department is on scene of a fire in the 2600 block of Redwood Avenue.
Initial reports were that there was a kitchen fire in the rear of the home.
First units, who were on scene within three minutes, reported heavy fire coming from the rear of the house.
The fire began in the kitchen and spread to the dining area.
The fire was marked under control at 4:33 p.m., with the initial call made at 4:21 p.m., Thursday.
Smoke remains heavy throughout the structure.
Red Cross is assisting one woman. There were no injuries.
