SAN ANTONIO — Just as the summer season came to a close for amusement parks, Six Flags Fiesta in Texas gave everyone something to look forward to in 2015.
A new Batman-themed roller coaster featuring two “beyond-90-degree drops and six 360-degree spins” is the “world’s first 4D free-fly roller coaster” and will open at Six Flags Fiesta in Texas next year.
A video released on Friday shows the dramatic twists and turns in the thrilling ride.
Rider will be lifted straight up a 120-foot hill, before flipping head-over-heels at least six times along the weightless, tumbling journey.
The ride employs ultra-modern magnetic technology. “The unanticipated tumbling will add even more thrills as riders travel along the dipping and swirling track,” said park president Martin Bozer.
The theme park described the ride as the “most exciting thrill ride” in its 22-year history, and it isn’t available anywhere else.
In addition to the adrenaline highs, the ride will offer a ” total immersion into the Batman storyline with numerous special effects including the world-famous Batmobile and Bat-Signal.”
The coaster is scheduled to open summer 2015.
