Richmond, VA — This month  Carytown Cupcakes will begin offering wine, beer or Prosecco to go along with cupcakes. Unfortunately, no, you will not be able to move in to the shop.

Starting July 11 the cupcake shop will have a limited mixed beverage license. So now you have lots of options. You can choose milk or coffee to accompany your cupcake, OR you can have a glass of wine, beer or Prosecco! Or a mimosa!

To begin, Carytown Cupcakes will be serving Hardywood and Devil’s Backbone craft beers, Blue Bee cider and Prosecco on tap. For the white wines, a Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc will be available, while a Barbera and Cabernet will be available for the red wines.

For the Friday July 11 launch, Carytown Cupcakes will be pairing their Chardonnay with a Cadillac cupcake and their Bolle Felici Prosecco with a Raspberry and Prosecco cupcake.

For those who are a little more adventurous, the shop says to swing by between 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday or Saturday, or on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to try a complimentary savory cupcake sample.
