HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- Two people were displaced after smoke from a house fire caused severe damage.
Fire crews arrived at the house, located in the 1600 block of Mara Drive, around 6:30 p.m. Crews reported finding smoke near the back of the house and in the crawl space.
Officials believe the fire was sparked by a shorted electrical line under the house.
The fire was stated to be under control within 20 minutes.
The two who were in the home when fire crews arrived were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and are expected to be okay.
