MARION, Indiana - An Indiana woman refused to be a victim after a burglar forced his way into her home.
Patti Kearney and her husband were watching television when they heard the glass in their back door shatter. The intruder confronted the couple and demanded any guns they might have in the home.
When Kearney realized the robber did not have a gun himself, she grabbed a wooden back scratcher and fought back.
"I said no and I looked at him and said, do you have a gun? And he said no, and I don't know what happened. I snapped," she said. "I don't think he expected an overweight woman on oxygen to attack him; I really don't."
The crook ran off after the back-scratcher beating.
