RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Fire crews responded to a house fire in the city's Northside Saturday.
Crews responded to a report of a house fire on the 2100 block of North Ave at 2:07 p.m., according to Richmond Fire and EMS.
When crews arrived they found smoke coming from the upstairs of the home.
One occupant was home at the time, but did not suffer any injuries. Officials said the American Red Cross is assisting two females and one male.
A firefighter was taken to an area hospital for observation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
