VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WTVR) - A Virginia Beach man said he regretted downloading an online dating app after his date walked out with his pet Pomeranian.
The man, who did not want his name released, told WTKR.com a woman contacted him using the dating app Skout.
When the woman, who claimed to be a 22-year-old college student named Essence, arrived at the man's home to watch a movie, he said she would not sit still. He said she made several trips to her car to checks on things.
The third time she left the room, the 30-year-old man said he went downstairs to check on her. That is when he saw his dog was gone.
"From there it was just panic," he said. "I contacted her and said ‘Can you please bring my dog back? Why would you take me dog?’ I got no response.”
