CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Fire crews battled a house fire early Saturday morning.
According to The Chesterfield Fire Department, crews responded to a report of a house fire on the 100 block of Bondurant Place at 1:46 a.m.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy fire coming from the attached garage spreading to the attic of a single-story residence.
It took crews approximately 30 minutes to get the fire under control. The two occupants were home at the time of the fire and were able to evacuate themselves.
They have been displaced and are being assisted by family members.
Fire Marshals have determined the fire started in the garage; however, the fire is still under investigation to determine an exact cause.
No injuries were reported.
