RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – A portion of I-195, where the highway meets with the Powhite Parkway just north of the James River, has been in complete darkness for at least a month, according to CBS 6 viewers.
Street lights line that roadway, but none of them are turned on and drivers who use the highway at night told CBS 6 that they do not think it is safe.
CBS 6 reached out to the Richmond Metropolitan Authority about why the lights are out — and how soon they would be back on.
All the agency would say is that they were looking into the report and that anyone with concerns should give them a call.
