MECKLENBURG COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office has arrested four people in connection with a violent armed robbery at a convenience store last weekend.

Deputies said two of the suspects cased Pearce’s Mini Mart a few hours before four men stormed in Sunday night -- and two or three of them had guns.

“Four suspects entered the store,” said Maj. Terry Edmonds. “One hopped over the counter and struck the clerk.  He had minor injuries.  It was an elderly man.” [READ MORE: Photos released after violent Mecklenburg store robbery]

Three of the suspects were arrested by Petersburg police around 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Kory Miles, 19, was arrested along with Bashir Amin, 19, and a 17-year-old juvenile.  Additionally, Jonathan Sink, 20,  was detained on unrelated charges at the Riverside Regional Jail.

Deputies said the suspects were charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, but that additional charges are pending.

Investigators said they received tips from the public after these pictures were released and broadcast.

One woman said she identified the suspects and called police after seeing a post on the CBS 6 Facebook page.

“Sheriff Hawkins and the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public in their assistance in making these arrests so quickly.  Also, a special thanks to Colonial Heights Police Department, Petersburg Police Department, and Channel 6 news for putting the suspects’ vehicle and picture on the air,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a news release.
