AUSTIN, Tex. (WTVR) — A Texas police officer’s actions are sparking outrage online after a video posted to YouTube appears to show him tripping and pushing several teens as they rushed the field after a soccer match.
KXANreports that the incident happened following Vandegrift High School’s win in the University Interscholastic League championship game on Saturday.

“After personally watching the videos, the actions of my officer are very concerning to me as well,” Georgetown Police Chief Wayne Nero told KXAN.
As a result, officer George Bermudez was placed on leave pending an investigation.
A 16-year-old student, who captured video of the chaos on his cell phone, said the officer “should’ve used better judgement.”
“We’re high schoolers just trying to have some fun after our team won,” Rohan Gupta said.
