HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - An accident that involved two tractor-trailer trucks backed up traffic for miles and left trash littering Interstate 95 in Hanover County.

"The left and center lanes have reopened," VDOT spokeswoman Lindsay LeGrand said about 11:55 a.m. "The right lane is expected to remain closed for the next two hours for cleanup. There is currently an eight-mile backup."

The accident was reported about 8:21 a.m. just south of Kings Dominion on Interstate 95 south.

"The tractor-trailer that overturned was hauling trash that has spilled out of the trailer and onto the roadway," Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar said. "There are no reported injuries."

The investigation into the crash as well as the clean-up continued as of 12:15 Monday afternoon.
