CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- Four men charged with hazing in connection with the drowning of two Virginia State University studentsare slated to appear in court Monday.
James Mackey, Eriq Benson, Cory Baytop and Charles Zollicoffer are all facing multiple counts of hazing charges.
Police said seven male VSU students attempted to cross the Appomattox River as part of an initiation ritual on April 20, 2013.
Students Marvell Edmondson and Jauwan Holmes drowned in the river.
The men are set to appear in Chesterfield General District Court at 8 a.m.
