RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)- Police are investigating a shooting in the city's Northside Saturday morning.
According to Richmond police, shortly before 9:15 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 4200 block of Old Brook Road at Bellevue Apartments for a report of a shooting.
When they arrived they found an adult male victim, suffering from a gun shot wound to the hand. Police originally believed the injury was self-inflicted, but after investigation discovered the victim was shot by a known suspect after an argument.
The suspect fled the scene, and detectives are working to locate the suspect.
The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
