Safe evacuation from burning Chesterfield house

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WTVR)–All occupants are out of a home in the 9000 block of Pepperidge Road in Chesterfield.

Chesterfield Fire Department responded to a call shortly before four p.m. Monday, confirmed Lt. Elmore.

The fire was at a home located off a cul-de-sac in a neighborhood not far off Reams Road.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming out of the house. A quick interior attack was made, and heavy fire and smoke were found inside.

The occupant inside was able to safely evacuate the premises on their own.
