HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Some travelers were left with a headache Wednesday after nearly 60 flights were cancelled at Richmond International Airport.
Spokesman Troy Bell said 96 flights out of around 150 were also cancelled for Thursday.
"Helplessness. That's what it is," said Jeffrey Francis from Virginia Beach.
Francis was trying to get to Chicago to see his son, but found out his flight was cancelled Wednesday.
"We drove up this afternoon and en route we got cancelled again so of course you can't talk to anyone on the telephone," said Francis.
Although some were upset by the cancellations, others were celebrating after making it home to the Richmond area Wednesday night.
"We flew in from JFK, took off at 3:30 on time and had to make two attempts to actually land in Richmond," said Sara Walker.
