HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Henrico Police said it was a 911 hang up call that brought them to a hotel in the 10000 block of W. Broad Street on February 3.
Police sources told CBS 6 three children, ages four, six and seven were left alone at the Extended Stay America hotel. Cortez Leonardo Harris was supposed to be watching the children, but sources said he left them while he went out looking for a job.
Sources also told CBS 6 Harris is the boyfriend of the children's mother.
He returned back to the hotel while the officers were on scene.
Police said the children may have been alone for several hours.
Harris was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and child neglect.
