WINTERGREEN, Va. (WTVR) — Wintergreen Resort’s 11,000 acres, including its ski slopes, two golf courses and restaurants, are back on the market again.
WSET reportsthat folks saw the four-star ski resort advertised online before an official announcement was made that it was up for sale.
Hank Theiss, Wintergreen Resort’s general manager, confirmed to WSETthat the resort was for sale after having two banner seasons.
Theiss pointed out that the sale had nothing to do with a lack of business, but rather that business has been so good that now is the time to sell.
The news comes two years after West Virginia billionaire Jim Justice bought the resort and invested $12 million in upgrades, which allowed the resort to extend its winter season.
