Richmond officer accused of distributing info from police computers

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — A Richmond police spokesperson says an officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

State police are investigating officer Keri Buyalos for accessing the police computers for personal use and distributing that information, which is a class six felony.

The incident happened Dec. 11. and Buyalos was arrested without incident on Jan. 7.

Buyalos, who has been with the department since 2009, is slated to appear in court on Jan. 24.
