The funeral service for Vinny Ferraiolo, the popular biology teacher at Thomas Dale High School, is Thursday.
Ferraiolo’s death is still under investigation, after police said they found the 48-year-old’s body inside his shop called Off the Ark Exotic Pets, located off Iron Bridge Road.
Ferraiolo is survived by his wife and five children. His funeral will be held at 11 a.m., at the Iron Bridge Baptist Church.
Hundreds attended a vigil held outside the pet store. Many people left Ferraiolo flowers at the makeshift memorial. Others wrote notes about how much he meant to them.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent in Vinny’s memory to the Ferraiolo Kids Fund at any Union Bank & Trust, or the one located at Genito and Hull Street.
