McLOUD, Okla. — A 33-year-old man was arrested after police said he killed his stepfather by pulling the victim’s underwear up over his head and suffocating him.
Brad Lee Davis was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder, according to reports by CBS 6 news affiliate KFOR-TV,
The victim, Denver St. Clair, 58, was found dead in his home Dec. 21. Police said he had been in a fist fight with Davis.
When Davis knocked down St. Clair down, he “grabbed St. Clair’s underwear and gave him an ‘atomic wedgie,’” Davis’ arrest affidavit said.
Police said Davis admitted to hitting St. Clair several times and pulling the elastic waistband of St. Clair’s underwear over his head and around his neck.
The medical examiner said St. Clair died of blunt force trauma and asphyxiation.
Police also said they found pictures of the crime scene on Davis’ cell phone. After the fight, Davis called 911 to report what happened, but police believe he tampered with the crime scene to make it look like he killed St. Clair in self-defense.
