One dead, three hurt in Virginia Beach chase

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va (WTVR) - One person was killed and three others injured in a multivehicle crash following a police chase in Virginia Beach.

It all started when an officer tried to pull over a Suzuki SUV on Lynnhaven Parkway and Princess Anne Road around 10 p.m. Sunday, investigators told WTKR.com.

The driver who would not  stop collided with a Chrysler minivan, police said. The impact shot the minivan across the median and into a third vehicle. The minivan driver died at the scene, police said.

The SUV flipped and catch fire.

The Suzuki SUV driver was ejected from the van, but suffered only minor injuries.

Police pulled two other people from the burning vehicle. They were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No word yet on any possible charges.
