Carrabba’s Italian Grill, a national restaurant chain, will open Jan. 13 in West Broad Village. The 6,564-square-foot restaurant is at 11237 W. Broad St., between Chuy’s and Bonefish Grill.
Carrabba’s spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts said almost 150 employees have been hired for the restaurant, which can seat 246.
Ryan Barnard is the proprietor, and Abdel Rafai is the joint venture partner.
Watts would not disclose how much the restaurant cost to build. According to Henrico County records, a $650,000 building permit was granted in June for Carrabba’s.
The parcel is owned by Excel Trust, the San Diego REIT that bought much of West Broad Village from developer Unicorp for $161 million in late 2012.
