Man dressed in black robs Northside Food Lion

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- Police are searching for an armed robber who knocked off a grocery store in Henrico's Northside Friday night.

Henrico police told CBS 6 that a man robbed the Food Lion in the 5300 block of Chamberylane Ave. around 9 p.m.

Police said when a cashier opened their drawer, the robber reached and managed to grab an undisclosed amount of cash before running off.

Witnesses told officers the man had a weapon, but police have yet to determine exactly he had.

No one was injured.

The suspect was described as a black male around 20 years old, around 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was dressed in all black.
