Construction repair has been underway tonight on I-295, east of the city, as crews work to remove an overhead sign structure that was damaged as the result of a vehicle crash.
The latest update from VDOT, just before 10 p.m., noted that the I-295 ramps are expected to remain closed thru midnight.
The ramps from I-64 west to I-295 north and south (exit 200) are closed. Crews are removing an overhead sign structure that was damaged as the result of a vehicle crash.
Travelers are encouraged to use alternate route.
