BROOKLYN HEIGHTS (WTVR) — Actress Keri Russell, star of “The Americas,” made a terrifying middle-of-the-night discovery in her Brooklyn Heights brownstone.
Russell’s reps confirmed the actress was awakened early Wednesday morning when she heard two burglars inside her townhouse.
According to the New York Daily News, Russell heard a noise coming from the floor above where she was sleeping. When she went to investigate, she found a window open. She soon discovered that her laptop, handbag and some jewelry had gone missing.
The paper reports an uncle and his nephew, Rodney and Stephan Swindel, were caught after allegedly breaking into another home nearby.
Russell’s rep said the actress and her family are “fine” and that she sends her thanks to the police.
Russell’s Golden Globe Award, which the actress won in 1999 for her breakout role in “Felicity,” was not taken.
