HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)--A Richmond woman is now facing charges after two separate single-vehicle crashes along I-64 East Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the scene on Interstate 64 eastbound at mile marker 199 in Henrico County shortly before 4:30.a.m.
Police say the first crash occurred when the driver of a 2005 Honda Accord ran off the left side of the roadway.
The vehicle overturned into the median before coming to rest in the left travel lane.
The driver, 25-year-old Abigail Larson of Richmond, was wearing her safety belt and was not injured in the crash.
Larson was charged with Reckless Driving.
Police say the second crash occurred when the driver of a 2003 Ford Taurus attempted to avoid striking the Honda that was in the left travel lane.
The Ford then ran off the left side of the roadway into the median and overturned.
The 35-year-old driver of the Ford was wearing her safety belt.
She suffered minor injuries and was transported to VCU Medical Center.
The investigation closed all lanes on I-64 for a few hours Sunday morning.
All lanes have since been reopened.
