HENRICO COUNTY (WTVR)- Henrico Police are investigating a homicide that happened in the county's West End Friday night.

According to Lt. Sperry with Henrico Police, at 11:13 p.m Friday officers responded to reports of several gun shots at 7006 Hunt Club Lane.

When officers arrived to the scene, they found a male deceased in the parking lot.

CBS 6 spoke with several neighbors in the apartment complex that heard the gun shots Friday night. One neighbor told CBS 6's Chelsea Rarrick he heard five gun shots from inside his apartment.

The neighbor, who did not want to be named, said he and others are now on edge.

"I'm scared out of my wits," he said.

Other neighbors said the entrance off Hunt Club Ln. was blocked off for several hours. Carrington Clark said he saw around 12 to 15 police cars.

Abanoub Boutros also lives in the complex. He said he knew the victim, and said he was known as a nice guy to many who lived there.

Boutros and others said the complex is typically a safe area. They said they haven't seen anything like this before.
