Multiple pets removed from homes after two-alarm Church Hill house fire

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–Richmond fire crews are on the scene of a two-alarm house fire in the 800 block of N. 27th street in Church Hill.

The call came in at 11:06 a.m. Friday and crew reportedly arrived on scene within a couple of minutes.

The dwelling is a duplex and heavy smoke was initially reported from the back part of the house. Behind the home is the Ethel Bailey Furman Park.

At this time it is unknown if the house is unoccupied. Multiple pets have been removed from both the home on fire and the next house.
