RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Police are investigating a domestic situation where a man set himself on fire.
Officers received a call Saturday at 10 a.m. from the 1800 block of West Grace Street. When units arrived on scene, they saw a man drenched in some kind of liquid set himself on fire with a lighter.
The man suffered life-threatening injuries to his upper torso and is currently recovering at VCU Medical Center.
Three police officers on scene were treated for smoke inhalation.
The investigation is ongoing.
