Rams enter season No.15 in ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)—The VCU Rams aren’t  yet wreaking Havoc on the court, but certainly are scoring in the new ESPN/USA Today preseason poll.

The newly released poll listed the Rams at No. 15, and marks the first time in school history that the team opens the years holding a nationwide ranking.

It’s one of many firsts under head coach Shaka Smart.

The team finished 27-9 last season, and will returns a majority of its team, including top scorers Treveon Graham and Juvonte Reddic. Jordan Burgess, younger brother of “Iron Man” Bradford Burgess who was listed as an ESPN top-100 recruits.

The Rams ended last season ranked 23rd in the country and were ranked as high as No.19 in last season’s Coaches Poll.
