HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - No one was injured in an early morning house fire, according to Henrico Fire spokesman Capt. James Mellon. Firefighters responded to a house fire about 2:30 a.m. along the 2400 block of Gordon Lane in eastern Henrico.
"The initial 911 caller stated smoke and flames were visible from a house on Gordon Lane near Nine Mile Road," Mellon wrote in an email. "It was reported to responding units that a car was in the driveway, but it was uncertain if the home was occupied. When fire crews arrived they found a one-story single family home with heavy fire conditions on the left side and rear of the home."
Fire crews quickly brought the fire under control, Mellon said. No one was found inside the house. Fire investigators have not yet determined what started the fire.
