WOODSTOCK, Va. (WTVR) -- The Virginia mother who was reunited with her missing two-year-old son Wednesday is thanking the volunteers who found him.
Jakob Heintzelman's mother said he usually follows their dog around their Woodstock home.
She thinks he followed the dog toward the door, and walked out with the Labrador Tuesday afternoon.
Her son was missing for nearly 12 hours in a wooded area in Shenandoah County.
Now that her son is back home safe, the boy’s mother said she is grateful for the 250 volunteers who helped in the search.
