STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — A Virginia woman is asking to be temporarily let out of jail so she can have an abortion.

TheFree-Lance Star is reporting 28-year-old Kristy Lechelle Cokley was in Stafford County court Thursday trying to get bond.

A lower court judge had already denied her request.

However, the woman will be able to petition the court once she provides specifics about when and where the procedure would take place.

Cokley, who was arrested last month, is accused of stealing clothes from a department store.

Police said she was already on bond for charges involving the manufacture of illegal drugs.
