RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- The Washington Redskins cheerleaders held a dance camp for Richmond youth on Wednesday at the Richmond Coliseum.
It was a join effort between the team and the Richmond Department of Parks and Recreation.
Around 250 Richmond area children took part in the event from noon to 2 p.m. to learn dance and cheer routines from the nationally recognized team. The kids also got to take part in a question and answer session with the women.
“We are excited to teach area children cheerleading techniques, in addition to providing them with positive new female role models.” Washington Redskins Cheerleading Director Stephanie Jojokian said in a news release.
