UPDATE: Man sought by police turns himself in

UPDATE: Marshon Chavis turned himself in today around 2:00 PM at the Henrico Police Public Safety Building.

HENRICO, Va. (WTVR)–Do you have information that could help Henrico Police nab a suspect who is wanted in connection to a shooting?

Police said that Marshon Duane Chavis is wanted for aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Chavis is an 18-year-old black male, 5’9”, weighing approximately 155 pounds.

The shooting dates back to June 29, around 2:20 a.m. in the 1700 block of Old Oakland Road.  Police said that shots were fired after a verbal argument escalated between several subjects.

Two male subjects, an 18 and 17-year-old, suffered non-life threatening leg injuries as a result of gunshot wounds; both were transported to VCU Medical Center.

Henrico County Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Chavis. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Henrico Police at 501-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
