BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A truck driver lost control of his big rig on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County and drove into Purgatory Creek during Tuesday’s rain, according to a report on WSLS.com. The truck was carrying dish detergent bottles, which spilled into the water.
As you can see in the video box below, the spill made the creek look more like a bubble bath.
Police said the driver was not injured, however some neighbors are concerned about the impact the chemicals in the detergent will have on fish living in the creek.
