HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – CBS 6 News has gotten an exclusive look at the evacuation that was issued at Richmond International Airport on Tuesday morning.
The station obtained surveillance video that shows the evacuation in progress.
An airport spokesperson said about 1,000 people were escorted out of the building when someone made a threatening phone call to RIC.
The call was made just after 6 a.m. Tuesday and the terminal was reopened around 9:40.
The person responsible for making the threatening call, who has not yet been apprehended, is facing up to 10 years in prison as well as possible federal charges.
