GLOUCESTER, Va. (WTVR) - The parents who kept their now 8-year-old child locked in a makeshift cage find out how long they will spend in prison.
Shannon and Brian Gore will be sentenced on Monday, The Gloucester couple pleaded guilty in March and face up to life in prison.
CBS 6 legal expert Todd Stone said the gruesome details of the case will have an impact on the judge's sentencing.
"This is probably the worst assault I've ever seen in terms of a live victim, the suffering that happened. The evidence establishes something that is a really ugly scenario. I expect that the judge is going to go on the very high end," Stone said.
